BOOK REVIEW: My Vampire Plus One by Jenna Levine
I followed straight on from My Roommate is a Vampire – and I loved that, I loved this a lot more. Reggie is such an eccentric character in the first book – it was lovely to learn more about him in this. Amelia is an accountant, it’s tax return season – she is busy and she bumps into Reggie on the street. There is such a connection from the start. They bump into each other again – and amongst all of this – has been invited to a wedding. Eventually she asks him to do her a favour – and be her plus one – pretending to be her boyfriend…

ADHD – Adult Life
I spent most of my childhood being an overachiever – the thought of failure wasn’t an option. By my teens, I tried so hard to fit in. I jumped from “friendship” group to “friendship” group. I recently added someone I recognised from my teen years on facebook and she messaged me saying I looked familiar but she couldn’t remember why – and the truth is – I couldn’t remember who our mutual friend was or how I had met her but I knew I remembered her and her name from somewhere! And as an adult, I am not friends or close to anyone from school – and sometimes that makes…

REVIEW: Case & Clues Murder Mystery – Dead Famous
Our Saturday night routine on a weekend we have the kids is to get them off their consoles/phones and play a board game or something we can do together. The youngest goes to bed, we have our dinner and then once dinner is finished we get together and play a game. Saturday, we decided to do one of the Murder Mystery games by Case & Clues – this is actually the second one that we have done this year. For Valentines, I bought James the ‘Until Death Do Us Part’ pack and we loved it, as did the kids, so we looked at buying a couple more! I bought ‘Dead…

BOOK REVIEW: My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine
Rating: ★★★☆☆ Date Read: January 2026 Life in January was a bit hectic and I had bought myself a kindle (for Christmas, because you know, who doesn’t buy themselves Christmas presents?) My new years resolution was to declutter and I had shelves of books that I had bought – maybe just because – that I needed to read and get through. If I remember correctly, I bought this in the summer of 2025 from The Works in one of their multibuy offers that they do on paperbacks! So when I was looking to clear the shelves, I was looking for books that look like they might be quick and easy…

The Day to Day
Morning Routine It is safe to say, that I am not a morning person. Even after coffee. In fact, I am just not an any time I am outside of the house person. I like to be at home, everything I could want and need is there. I usually dive in the shower, brush my teeth, get dressed and run out of the door. Make up does not exist for me Monday to Friday – or at weekends unless we are going out anywhere other than a quick food shop. Monday to Friday Routine The 9 to 5 (or the 6 to 8, most days), I am a Compliance Manager…

The Ultimate Life Bucket List
I decided this year that I wanted to make a list of 100 things I want or want to do… I’ve tried this a couple of times in my journals over the years but obviously life changes, our interests change and we change… but there have always been things that have stayed on my list. Admittedly, some of them I have already done – but I’d do them again to create new memories or experience with Jubs rather than my friends, family or people that would just rather forget or are no longer a part of my life. There are a million other things I could put – eat a…

“Are you still there? Continue Watching”
I love a good binge watch of TV series. I am awful with films, but I’ll happily sit and watch 10 episode of a series and consider Netflix rude for asking me if I’m still watching…! With Jubs being a lorry driver, there isn’t a lot that he can do of an evening so we have binged so many TV series over the time that we have been together. Whilst one of us dresses “like attending a funeral” and one has been sugar coated in J D Sports – we do love the same kind of TV series. Our recent watches have been: Some of my all-time favourites, that I…

2025
2025 was a f*cking busy year! But it was such a good one! I don’t even think this covers how incredible 2025 was for us but here are some of my favourite parts and the reasons why I thought they were so memorable. We went to the F1 Exhibition in London – spent the weekend exploring too! Had such a great time – no plan (except for the exhibition) and just finding things as we go. Lots of walks with the kids and the dogs! I fell in love with reading again, and finished the ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas. We had so many BBQs and parties – hosted…

Hello World!
If you have read my ‘About me’ page then you will know, that I am into everything – and my hobbies change depending on my mood, my surroundings and what is inspiring me at the time. I am of the neuro-spicy variety – and I do have a place where all my ADHD hobbies go to be forgotten about for months at a time! I decided that instead of doom scrolling what other people do, I would create this blog to discuss what I do and what I love! Talking about the things that went wrong (or right!) and what I would do differently if I did it again –…
